New Look for the Fall

It's that time of year again!!
Autumn is just around the corner and I can't wait for the beautiful colors of leaves, the cooler weather, and most of all... The make up selection around this time which is all the warm and fun colors. For Autumn, You never want to go too bright but not too dark either even when you are hanging out at night with friends.

Not only that, I decided that I was ready for a new hair color and look. I wanted to go shorter but my mom doesn't like SHORT hair cause she has real short hair so I am just going to leave it long and fake a short bob. I am happy to say that the color I choose tot go is a red color. A little bit of history on my hair, I already bleached it and let my roots grow in for some time so that I can have a great variation of red that looks more natural and a lot more fun.

By Winter, I want to back to black and just buy wigs because my hair is my life and I want to have healthy hair and look more like me too. Just my opinion but We shall see. It's just an idea of what I want. But Now, HOW I DYED MY HAIR and what products I used.

How I dyed my Hair:
I purchased all my hair products at Sally's because It's reliable and not only that, I have a membership card and If you are like me and LIKE Sally's and shop there pretty often, You may want to get one for sure because you will for sure save a lot of money.

You will definitely need gloves, mixing bowl along with brushes, bleaching solution, and hair color. Most hair color products have a sort of bleaching product with it.

NOTE: You will need another person to help because they can help get the back hair and hair you can't see. If they are un-experience, it is an easy guide and very simple to do for sure.

1. Wear your gloves and depending on how much scoops of powder of packs, then you pour the crème/liquid bleach solution and mix together until it's thick and looks like cake batter.

2. Get aluminum foil ready in rectangles and divide your hair starting with bottom to top.
NOTE: If you are re-dying for a bleach color, apply on your roots first for about 15-20 minutes ahead before applying to the rest of your hair.

3. Grab a small segment of your hair and get ready to apply to the hair. Spread the mix evenly throughout the hair and make sure it is all in your hair.

4. Wrap your hair in foil and make sure you keep track which hair segments you bleached first to make sure you don't over bleach.
NOTE: When done, YOU FOR SURE THE TO RINSE that segment.

5. REPEAT until you are done and make sure you wash bleach thoroughly out of your hair.

Outcome of my Hair:
Well, when I dyed my hair,it turned a little more orange than red so that was a "NO-NO" for me... So I may have to re-dye it again soon but overall, I do like this color too. More Fall/Autumn like!!

Thanks for reading guys!!
I will try to update a lot more because I have a lot of time now at night to do so and HOPEFULLY a lot will be happening in my life too. I will also do post on makeup and not just videos.

Favorites of the Moment

Hello friends,

As we get ready to start yet another week (and another month, yikes!), I began to look back at all the things I've enjoyed during the month of September.   Does anybody else get super excited for September?  Is it just me? Okay, just wondering.  But in all seriousness, this month kicks off all of the things that make me incredibly happy (and I'm not biased because it's my birthday month, not at all ;))  To me September is the beginning of a wonderful time.
  • Hello Fall (sweater weather) - favorite season by far!
  • Pumpkin Spice Lattes
  • Everything Pumpkin, actually
  • Boots and skinny jeans
  • Teas! and warm hot chocolate
  • Beautiful foliage
  • Scarves
  • Celebrating the holidays with family
  • Christmas (my absolute favorite holiday!)
These are just a few of my favorite things about the holidays.  Now, onto what I have been loving lately....

TAZO Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte, this stuff is so good!  If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it.  To go along with this delicious drink, I have really been enjoying making pumpkin spice oatmeal.  I followed Dani Spies' recipe and added half a granny smith apple and a little bit of granola, yum!

This next favorite item really blew my mind, not joking.  Wow!  Why it took me this long to know about its existence is beyond me.  I must warn you, this is not the healthiest food but oh so delicious.  Apparently everyone I know knew about this nut butter, but somehow they forgot to share the good news.  Shame on you people!  Well, expect for Instagram.  If you are are like me and have yet to try this, please run to your nearest Trader Joe's, you can thank me later (or you may not if you become addicted to it, hmm).  Take the risk.

This next item is a recent purchase but it quickly became a favorite.  I found this throw during my most recent trip to Home Goods.  Upon seeing it I knew immediately that I had to buy it, and so I did but only because I had a gift card.  I'm trying to be more conscious of my spending so it was nice to know that I could still buy it without compromising my goals.  I currently have it in the living room and it gives it such a soft and cozy look to the room, especially during this season. :)

How lovely are these notebooks from Anthropologie?  I think they are adorable.  I have been using these to write notes during my bible study sessions and also using them as gratitude journals.  They also make for cute decor.  I'm thinking about taking one to work and using it as my "to do" list.  I have been working on sprucing up my work space and so far I am loving the results.  I'm thinking about sharing my experience decorating an office space once it's complete, let me know if you are interested in something like that.

My first fall pumpkin!  I bought this during my most recent trip to Trader Joe's for only $2.99 and fell in love with it.  A bit dramatic, yes, but how adorable is it?  Reminds me a bit of Cinderella.  I plan on adding a few more to the house - they just make our home that much more festive.

I have been a bit obsessed with Hillsong United, especially with their new album Zion.  The entire album is amazing!  The song Oceans is my absolute favorite song and it has been on repeat for the last two or three weeks, not kidding.  My husband was listening to this album during our lunch break and this song immediately caught my attention.  I quickly downloaded the entire album and have been listening to it every. single. day.

I recently finished reading Seven by Jen Hatmaker and boy did it stir something in me.  I have since followed Seven with Radical by David Platt and life is taking on a completely different meaning.  These books are thought provoking and will make you ask the difficult questions.  Am I really living my life according to God's will or my own?  Is having excess really lead to happiness? My husband bought Seven for me and he bought Radical for himself.  After reading Radical, he dared me to read it and I wasn't going to turn down a dare - no sir.  I haven't finished Radical yet but I've read enough to know this book will be worth your time.  If you are interested in a book review, please let me know.  I would love to go into more detail on either book.

These are just a few of my favorites that I have been enjoying lately.  What you have you been enjoying as of late?

Thank you for reading!

Karina

Recent Purchases I Am Loving

Hello friends!

I've added a few decorative touches to my home that I wanted to share with you all.  They are subtle touches but I believe they have truly made a difference in the look and feel of my home.  I am a believer that sometimes it's the small things that make the biggest difference.

Onto the first piece and the one I am most excited about.  This beautiful side table was spotted at HomeGoods for $59.00.  The design immediately caught my eye because it's so different from what I already own, yet I believe the table has added the perfect touch to our master room for its compact size and design.

I am still looking for the right accessories but I am loving the look so far.

The next item I picked up while on a lunch date with my husband.  Now, by lunch date I mean lunch at Whole Foods after a good workout session at the gym, haha.  We both love Whole Foods and it so happens that a Pottery Barn store is just walking distance from it.  I purchased these two pillow covers after having them on my wish list for what seemed like forever.  I just adore their simplicity.

I do, however, need to invest in better inserts because I am currently using my Target pillows and they don't have the slouchy/relaxed look to them.  They look a little too structured and that takes away from the comfort look I am going for.  Do you agree?

If you visit my Instagram page you may have already seen these pillows from Home Goods.  I was so excited when I spotted them in the store that I rushed to the cash register, no hesitation whatsoever. I brought them home and quickly replaced my Target pillows with these (no offense to my beloved Target).  These happen to be my husband's favorite because they are so unbelievably comfortable.

These four pillows have added a nice touch to our living room, so much better than our Target pair.

Next in line is this bathroom rug from World Market.  We used to have a Bed Bath and Beyond padded brown rug that we purchased when we first moved in to our home a little over 3 years ago.  This purchase was made on a whim and before I had an idea as to how I wanted to decorate our home.  It was so sad looking that even my husband mentioned it once or twice (or three times but who's counting).  He was so pleased when he walked in and saw this new rug.   This new purchase quickly got the seal of approval from him.  :)

Last but certainly not least I wanted to share this beautiful flower arrangement from none other than Home Goods (big surprise there, huh?).  I love it!  It adds such a beautiful pop of color to our bedroom.  Peonies being my favorite flower, it came as no surprise to my husband when I walked in with this baby in my hands.  Although, I must say, I think I may have reached my flower arrangement quota, haha.  Has that ever happened to you?  Maybe it's just me but I looked around our home and panicked a little.  I don't want to be know as the lady with too many flower arrangements.  Plus, I've been really trying to simplify (declutter and organize) our home and buying another would completely defeat the purpose.

I appreciate the look of a clean and well organized home, so I am striving to keep mine as organized as possible.  I feel it makes life a little less stressful.  I am nowhere near complete but I am truly enjoying the process of purging and giving, it's kind of a stress reliever for me.  Have you completed any organizing projects lately?

Thank you so much for reading!  I hope you are enjoying your week. :)

Until next time,
Karina

 Self Judge Information:
Color Vibrancy: 9.5/10 - I love how the black ring on the outside gives it a enlargement and makes the light golden/honey color on the circle lens appear more. You can also wear these lens and they look kind of realistic to be worn to a lot of fun events.
Comfort Level: 9/10 - They are super comfortable and wearable. They don't dry easily but if you wear them throughout the day, they do start to slowly get dry by the end of the night. I recommend bringing eye drops.

More Pictures:

I really like how the packaging came in and it was bubble wrapped and safe.

The Circle Lenses came in this adorable pouch and was also bubbled wrapped.

Not only did it come with the circle lenses and a case, it also came with their business card, how to instructions, and a card to show how to open the lenses.

Overall Opinion:
These circle lens are very beautiful and remind me a little of the Princess MiMi Chocolate Brown because the color "POPS" beautifully and makes my eyes look big but not crazy big. The only difference is that the Starmish color brown is a little bit more natural and looks more like a honey/golden color then the Chocolate Brown.
