Hello friends,
Happy belated Halloween! I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween. My husband and I spent the evening with my in-laws and had a terrific time. We brought the firepit to the front of the house and gathered around it while we waited on the little (and not so little) ones to stop by for some delicious chocolate and candy.
Today I am doing my first tag! I am excited to share a bit more about me and my home with you. Normally, you have to be tagged by someone in order to participate (hence the name "tag"), but that didn't happen, so I decided to tag myself and here we are. Who says you have to follow the rules. :)
Let's begin with question numero 1.
1. Who do you live with?
A. I live with my wonderful husband of almost 7 years.
2. What is your favorite room in your house?
A. My favorite room is the living room. I like it the most because it's the first room you see when you walk in. I've made every effort to make it as welcoming as possible, plus it gets the most natural light. We have lots of wonderful memories with family and friends and it's the room I feel is most complete in our home.
3. What is your favorite item in your house?
A. This is a tough one. I love so many items in my house (it's the way it should be, right?) but if I really had to narrow it down, then it would have to be our coffee table from World Market.
4. Your biggest bargain purchase and where is it from?
A. I don't own very expensive pieces as I love to decorate on a budget. However, I do believe my husband and I scored big when we purchased our sofa from World Market. I wanted to a white couch for our den but the ones I had my eye on where out of our price range. So, in order to stay within budget yet still get the look I was after, we purchased this sofa for under $150.00. It was the floor model, which meant it came assembled, and it was majorly discounted but there was nothing wrong with it. :)
5. What is the coolest thing in your house?
A. I really like this little side table from HomeGoods. If you have seen any of my other home decor hauls, then you are fully aware of my slight obsession with this place. I chose this table because it's different from anything else I own and so pretty.
6. What is the most expensive item in your house?
A. Like I said before, I don't own a lot of expensive pieces. If I had to choose one piece it would have to be our sofa set in our main living room. This is by far the most expensive purchase.
7. What is your most stylish decor/DIY item? One you are most proud of?
A. I love reading/watching anything DIY. They are my favorite blog posts to read, yet I don't have many myself. Sometimes the thought of actually messing up a project really tricks my mind, does that happen to you? Am I alone on this? One project I did complete and is by far my absolute favorite is my DIY chalkboard. It was one of my very first posts on this little blog of mine (here). I use it so much and still love it to this day!
8. Show one item from Ikea?
A. Surprisingly enough, I don't own any items from Ikea. Is this shocking? I'm not sure. The closest Ikea is about 3.5 hours from where I live so that may be the reasons why. The question should be rephrased to "Show one item from HomeGoods or Target". Now we're talking!
9. What is your favorite homeware stores?
A. My favorite stores to shop for my home are HomeGoods, Target, World Market, Pottery Barn, and Joss and Main (online only).
10. What is your favorite home decor item?
A. This is by far the most difficult question because I really love *almost* everything in my home. What I don't love will soon find another home and be replaced with something that I do love. I believe that your home should be a reflection of who you as a person and as a family. I love surrounding myself with items that make my life a little happier and comfortable. I love coming home and feeling content and at "home". However, these are a few items that make me appreciate my home that much more.
That's it! I hope you enjoyed this little tag. I tag everyone one of you! Please let me know if you do this tag as I would love to learn more about you.
Until next time,
Karina
