We're moving out of state in a matter of a few short weeks, that is crazy! My mind is still trying to process everything that is going on. Just in case you are wondering how I feel about this move, I'm excited, nervous, and sad all at the same time. We've been waiting for this moment for years and the day is finally here. You guys have no idea how many times my husband and I talked about moving out of California, but for one reason or another nothing happened until now. We truly believe in God's perfect timing and we know this is not the exception. We prayed, listened, and took the leap of faith. Now it's time to say goodbye to our home, family, friends, and start this new journey. I hope to share as much as possible here and on my Youtube channel, and would love it if you guys came along this new adventure with me. Let's begin with the announcement and a few random things that happened this past week.
We began our week with fresh flowers. Micah and I bought these beautiful flowers for my sister-in-law, aren't they just lovely? We paid her a surprise visit at work and she absolutely loved them.
While my husband was away on a business trip, Micah and I had the opportunity to spend some time with family. First up was my wonderful sister who very generously invited us to a great Mediterranean restaurant near our house. I ordered my favorite vegetarian dish, but since they were out of grape leaves (ugh, my fave), they compensated by giving me more hummus and tabouli salad.
We enjoy our morning walks and going down the slides. I never knew slides were so much fun!
On Thursday I met my mom and grandma for some delicious lunch and frozen yogurt. I had a combination of strawberry, Tahitian vanilla, and birthday cake flavored yogurt with almonds, blueberries (for Micah), and a few pieces of kiwi. Perfect treat!
However, my absolute favorite treat during the summer time (or anytime for that matter) is watermelon. I LOVE that stuff! You would think I would know how to pick a good watermelon, but I still can't. I've tried every trick (tapping, yellow spot, the greener the better) and every time I cut into it is either cheer joy or total disappointment. There's no consistency. Do you know a sure way to spot a good watermelon? If you do, please share your secret.
Here is my current favorite nail polish combination, perfect for summer!

My current lunch obsession - naan bread topped with hummus, avocado, tomato, veggie patty, cilantro, and a sprinkle of cheese. It's so good and so easy.
I hope all of you have a wonderful week!
